Keep drinking the Kool-Aid people. We will see who fixes these problems in November. If you beleive that this is a turnaround in the economy, you should ask those that have had to close their businesses or have been laid off over the past year how they feel.

You know what is funny about this article...It is the way it ended by saying that the deficit will exceed the 1.4 Trillion mark. Was it not just yesterday that the NYT claimed that the deficit dropped by 8% to 1.3. What is the truth? SPIN, SPIN, SPIN...

Lets be honest Shellie...."W" may have created some of these issues, but we forget about the democratic congress had a lot to do with the situation as well. Unfortunately, Obama has decided to be the great Health crusader & focused on an issue that should be put on the back burner.

Stephan...You must not have benifited from the Reagan era. You have a contorted memory of the Carter years. With interest rates so high, the economy stalled causing a 13.5 inflation rate.

Mike......you should tell all of those people at the welfare office to not go there anymore for that check since it was eliminated. Welfare was reformed, but not eliminated....BY A DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT.

Stephan....Did you live in the Carter years? Gas Lines, interest rates higher then most credit cards. As for Clinton, he rode the coat tails of Bush 1 which created a boom in growth due to the lowered interest rates.

REALLY? The Welfare plan has worked so well....Social Security will be there for all of us. Medicare has been an economic success..... All democratic plans that drain the tax payers money. Now Healthcare, Cap and Tax, VAT Tax..... I beg to differ from your opinion.

I would like to know who thinks that this is good news? The deficit is still 1.3 TRILLION dollars....Democrat or Republican, we all should come to the reality that this is unacceptable. That is our tax money and loans from China being used incorrectly.

Gary....As long as oil is in the Middle East & we are dependent on that source, the US will have interest. As much as we would like to of Israel cretes turmoil, they also create stability through military strength.
